Defining direction and shaping the future for the chemical industry
The European Chemical Marketing and Strategy Association (ECMSA) is an organisation that brings together the decision makers from within the chemical industry. As a not-for-profit organisation ECMSA takes a lead in helping to shape and define the future and direction of the industry. Originally established in 1962 as the European Chemical Market Research Association, the organisation assumed its current role in 2000.
By the industry for the industry
The membership is composed of those interested in and able to influence the development of the chemical industry; marketers, business strategists and planners, product and sales management; and those servicing, regulating or depending on the chemical industry including the media, industry analysts, consultants and trade bodies. ECMSA membership is open to both individuals and organisations
Delivering value
ECMSA membership brings a number of benefits. Key amongst these are:
• A platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, experience and opinions through networking events, topical industry relevant conferences and access to the membership database for specialist advice and experience
• A neutral forum of communication for all Chemicalindustry stakeholders.
Run by the industry for the industry and working in partnership with its members, linked associations and some of the industry’s leading consultancy firms, ECMSA seeks to provide unbiased and unfettered information.
• Access to a network of resources, tools, and industry contacts. The organisation's website www.ecmsa.org has been set-up to serve as a first-line of contact between its members and the resources the organisation is able to place at their disposal. A key feature is members ability to search for specialist support or individual members. Additionally, ECMSA is linked to similar partner associations in the USA and Japan (CDMA, JCCDA). An established programme of conferences is designed to address key issues facing the industry, at the same time providing access to information, knowledge and experience not generally available to the industry at large.
• An accumulated data-bank of relevant industry case histories and best practice models. Already available through the organisation's website www.ecmsa.org, ECMSA is constantly working to expand and deepen the level of knowledge available to its members whilst improving access and speed of retrieval.
